$250,000 Settlement For Trip and Fall Accident
James A. Maggs, Esq. and Victoria J. Adornetto, Esq. of Maggs McDermott & DiCicco, LLC recently settled claims for $250,000 on behalf of a 36-year-old man who was injured after tripping and falling down a deteriorated staircase.
The Firm alleged that the fall was the result of a poorly maintained and decaying staircase behind a multi-family property in Asbury Park, New Jersey in October of 2017. Our client, tripped and fell down the staircase sustaining injuries to his neck, lower back and left ankle.
Following several months of physical therapy and conservative care, our client’s treating physicians recommended surgery to his neck and left ankle.
Ultimately, Maggs and Adornetto were able to resolve the matter for $250,000. This recovery will assist our client in paying his medical bills, as well as for his pain and suffering as a result of this incident.
