William J. Watt
William “Bill” Watt is an associate at Maggs McDermott & DiCicco and brings a broad range of experience to the Firm’s Commercial Litigation Department. His practice focuses on business disputes, contract litigation and transactional matters, as well as representing clients in personal injury and other civil matters, estate planning and family law.
Prior to joining the Firm, Bill was an associate at a regional defense firm, where he focused on the defense of civil litigation matters, including automobile and premises liability claims. Bill previously served as a law clerk to the Honorable Thomas M. Comer, J.S.C., in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Monmouth County.
Bill earned his Juris Doctor from Rutgers Law School–Newark, where he was actively involved in the Moot Court Board, the Rutgers Computer and Technology Law Journal, and the Entertainment, Arts, and Sports Law Society. Bill held internships with the New Jersey Attorney General’s Office and Rutgers Law Associates and was a part of the Rutgers Education & Health Law Clinic. Bill received his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Economics from Stockton University.
Bill is admitted to practice in New Jersey and is a member of the Monmouth Bar Association and the Middlesex County Bar Association. He also volunteers with the New Jersey State Bar Association Young Lawyers Division’s Wills for Heroes Program, providing pro bono estate planning services to first responders and veterans.
