Driver Receives $97,500 After a Rear-end Collision

A 61-year old Long Branch woman was stopped at a red light on Route 35 North in Ocean Township when she was suddenly struck from behind. After retaining Maggs McDermott & DiCicco, our investigation revealed that the defendant was trying to program her GPS just prior to the collision. Our client sustained injuries to her right and left knees, right shoulder, neck and back.

Arthroscopic surgery of our client’s right and left knees showed meniscal tears. An MRI of our client’s right shoulder revealed a partial tear of the rotator cuff which was treated with numerous cortisone injections. The accident also caused multiple disc herniations in our client’s neck and back that were treated with epidural steroid injections.

The car accident attorneys at Maggs McDermott & DiCicco worked diligently to build a case. Ultimately, the case settled for $97,500, the remaining amount of the the defendant’s insurance policy.
