Lavallette Woman Settles For $300,000 Following a Rear End Collision
A 70-year-old woman was stopped on the ramp from Mantoloking Road to Hooper Avenue waiting for traffic to clear before she pulled out when she was suddenly struck from behind.
As a result of the impact, our client was thrown backwards and then forward, causing a herniated disc at L5-S1 and an L4-L5 bulging disc. The injury to our client’s low back resulted in spinal stenosis and pain radiating down her left leg into her groin area. As a result, our client underwent an L4-L5, L5-S1 laminectomy. She also underwent release and decompression of the pudendal nerve, the nerve that serves the groin.
Due to the extent of her injuries, the defendant’s insurance carrier paid $300,000 which was the full policy limits.
