Woman Receives $150,000 Settlement for Car Accident Injuries

A 59-year-old Ocean County woman received $150,000 for injuries she sustained following a car accident. Our client was traveling northbound on Martin Truex Jr. Boulevard in Stafford Township when an 83-year-old driver suddenly pulled out into traffic, striking our client’s car on the driver’s side door. Our client immediately felt pain in her left shoulder and on the left side of her body.

An MRI following the crash revealed a left shoulder full thickness rotator cuff tear. The extensive injury required a left shoulder rotator cuff tendon repair, subacromial decompression and clavicle resection of the shoulder joint. Unfortunately, our client had minimal relief from the surgery and subsequent physical therapy, and was subsequently diagnosed with a frozen shoulder.

Our client continues to experience pain and lacks mobility of the left shoulder. The treating orthopedic surgeon believes that she will suffer residual pain for the rest of her life.

The case settled for $150,000.
